Billye J. Jones, DSW, LCSW

Senior Vice President of Program Development

 Executive Consultant | Clinical Strategist | Educator
Doctor of Social Work, NYU Silver School of Social Work 


Billye J. Jones is a nationally recognized licensed clinical social worker and trauma-informed care expert with over two decades of leadership in social services, higher education, and program development. A respected voice in the field of child welfare and interpersonal violence prevention, Billye has dedicated her career to advancing equity, safety, and resilience in underserved communities.


As a consultant, educator, and former Assistant Executive Director, Kingsbridge Heights Community Center. Billye has spearheaded initiatives that transformed organizational culture and outcomes. Her work includes the development of comprehensive child sexual abuse prevention strategies and trauma-informed program design for nonprofits and government partnerships. She currently leads Billye Jones Consulting, providing therapy, professional training, and strategic support to institutions committed to ethical and trauma-responsive care.


Billye has served as an adjunct lecturer at NYU Silver School of Social Work and Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler School of Social Work, teaching future clinicians across a wide range of topics including trauma, diversity, and child and family welfare. Her academic and advocacy work is amplified by keynote presentations, national conference workshops, and media engagements.


She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Manhattanville College and earned both her Master of Social Work and Doctor of Social Work degrees from New York University. She also holds a post-master’s certificate in Advanced Clinical Practice and completed specialized training in trauma studies at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy.


Billye’s leadership within the National Association of Social Workers includes serving as Chair of the National Ethics Committee and Vice President of the New York State Chapter. Her work has been honored by United Neighborhood Houses and the NASW for outstanding community service and advocacy.


At BuildingBlocs, Billye brings her deep clinical wisdom and community-rooted approach to curriculum design, trauma-informed programming, and leadership development. She ensures that healing and justice remain central to our work in literacy, leadership, and social emotional growth.
