Dr. Jim Bostic, is a nationally recognized leader in trauma-informed systems design, youth development, and restorative justice. As Senior Vice President at BuildingBlocs, he serves as both strategist and mentor; guiding the implementation of our most impactful programs across correctional, reentry, and community-based settings.
A co-creator of the Built From the Inside™ system, Dr. Bostic’s foundational work in emotional healing, conflict transformation, and cultural leadership directly shaped the curriculum’s tiered mentorship model. His decades of front-line experience working with justice-involved youth, families, and returning citizens ensure every element of the system is both practical and deeply human.
Before joining BuildingBlocs, Dr. Bostic led one of New York’s most impactful community centers, overseeing programs in behavioral health, crisis intervention, and youth empowerment. A pastor, educator, and published author, he has dedicated his life to helping people break cycles, build dignity, and transform their narrative.
At BuildingBlocs, Dr. Bostic leads strategic partnerships, site integration, and mentor training systems, ensuring every program maintains fidelity to its trauma-informed roots. His legacy of service and his unwavering belief in the power of second chances continue to inspire the mission and methods of our national model.
